Ladder inspection for daily use is essential for construction, maintenance, and utility workers. Ladders are used frequently and can wear down over time.
Workers should examine rails, steps, and feet for cracks, damage, or missing components. Ladder locks and hinges must function smoothly.
Different ladder types require different checks. Extension ladders need working rope systems, while step ladders need stable spreaders.
Damaged ladders should be tagged out immediately. Using a ladder with hidden damage can result in falls or collapse.
