Safe use of torches and heat guns is important for roofing crews, plumbers, electricians, and maintenance workers. These tools produce high heat that can ignite surrounding materials or cause burns.

Workers should keep heat sources pointed away from their bodies and maintain clearance from flammable materials. A fire extinguisher should be within reach during torch work.

Different tasks require different heat settings. Heat guns can blister materials quickly, while torches may ignite dust or insulation if used carelessly.
